ERW Lighting Showroom & Office

This project won the 2021 NAIOPWA Night of the Stars award for Retail Development of the Year. ERW’s space in the design-oriented community of Georgetown is multipurpose, servicing as a lighting lab to showcase and test lighting fixtures as well as house their company’s office space. The office space features examples of their lighting capabilities and extensive technology in each room. Even hallways and restrooms display unique lighting concepts that inspire. The lighting concept starts with daylight, with the artificial lighting designed to read and respond to daylight levels to support an overall desirable light level and to promote energy efficiency. The spaces with little daylight take advantage to showcase the awe-inspiring displays of artificial light.

In addition to lighting, the office space employs flexibility through its use of spaces and furnishings. A variety of workstation configurations and work-lounge furnishings allow employees to collaborate as they desire. While most desks are situated in an open-office environment, acoustical clouds with integrated lighting hover high over desk areas for visual interest; but, more importantly, it helps control sound provides desired light levels. Both large and small conference rooms are sprinkled throughout the office space, and there is a grand training room with glazed double doors leading directly into a kitchen area, making it easy to host trade events. Adjacent to the kitchen is a break area with glazed garage doors that open to the outside and connect ERW to this design-oriented neighborhood.
